Okay, people, this manifestation seemed like it was nearly impossible at first. I didn’t have ANY knowledge of what it takes to run a blog. Let alone what it would take to start one. All I knew was that I needed something more out of life. I saw blogging as an opportunity to let my creative side flow out into the universe (and maybe even get paid while doing it)!
To start out, I read anything and everything I could find on sites like Pinterest. This is where I saw all these amazing go-getters. Women out in the world traveling and making money by writing a blog. It looked a little too good to be true in all honesty. Could I REALLY get paid to write about the things I so passionately love to study on a daily basis? Could I really get a chance to share my journey to creating a new life with the world? And even make a profit?
What I have learned is that the answer is YES! You can REALLY make a living doing all the things that you love to do. As a bonus, you may even help to inspire others to do the very same thing! This is now my passion. I am spending every waking moment trying to figure this new world of blogging out one day at a time.
Being new to this world, I know that I have A LOT to learn. I have already learned so much too, and I want to share with you all how I got started.
In the process of reading everything I could get my hands on, I decided to jump in both feet first. I signed up for BlueHost to host my site. I have read nothing but good things about them. Plus, registering through Bluehost gave me access to WordPress where I create the content for my website.
Getting started is incredibly overwhelming. There are so many adds and sales pitches from all these bloggers who have been successful. They all want to share their formula to success with you for hundreds of dollars. The problem? They all have different opinions as to what is important, what to prioritize, what ultimately works best. It can make it hard to know which way is up after diving down the many different rabbit holes. The stress will make you want to re-think your decision, but DON’T WORRY, I promise it is easier than it may seem and does NOT need to cost a ton of money to get started.

Once I signed up, I did some youtube watching to learn how to use WordPress and soon had a template picked out. I was then on my way to creating content that I would soon be publishing for the world to see.
Somewhere in my start, I came across a quote that said “You can’t be the noun without doing the verb” by Ayodeji Awosika. This said to me that if I wanted the title of a “Blogger” (writer, make-up artist), I was going to have to put in the work to earn it!
Now I find myself writing in all of my spare time and I am LOVING every minute of it. I never knew how satisfying it would be to my soul to find my voice, how much I would love sitting down to edit my work, or what a pleasure it would be to showcase my own photography. That too was always a hobby of mine. I often wonder if my work would be perceived as “good”, but more importantly, I HOPE that it will be inspiring and helpful to other people. I want everyone to know the gratification you feel when you are being true to your heart and your talents.
And to think, it all started with just the thought that I WANTED it, followed by formulating an actual PLAN to manifest that thought into my new reality! If starting a blog has been something you have been toying around with, but may have talked yourself out of due to not knowing how or where to start. I say to you now… I am CHEERING for you my dear, take that first step into your new journey!
The beauty of this life is that NO ONE knows what they are doing. Really let that sink in. We are all just learning as we go along with no guarantee that we are doing anything right. The difference between them and you is that they had the courage to try even though they were scared! Be courageous! Dare to dream and make real the life you envisioned for yourself. I promise it is so worth the effort! The universe is waiting for you to come into your light because there are things that ONLY you were created to put out into this world. Do not let us down. Go for it!
