Hey ya’ll! I know it has been way too long, there have been some technical difficulties that we look forward to sharing more about in another post, but today, we are back and ready to introduce you to some more awesome Boss Babes who are changing the world and making an impact in their communities.
Today, we have the pleasure of introducing you to this beauty, DeAundra Sawyer from the Bahamas!
I had the pleasure of meeting DeAundra at the very start of my business venture and was instantly inspired by her story. We are so grateful that she took the time to share some of it with our readers, as I know DeAundra will inspire you all too.
To start, we were curious what inspired DeAundra to start her own business in the first place, and she shared …
” I graduated from college with a BA in telecommunications and returned home and just got into something that my home desperately needed. When I began my journey, it took on a different meaning and it felt good to make women feel good, not only look good. Every person that sat in my chair shaped me into the woman I am today. I realized our journey is not for us … it’s to save someone else.”
Growing up, DeAundra told us that she wanted to be a cosmetologist, but later learned that she hated it. DeAundra started off as a makeup artist and soon became the CEO of her very own makeup line called Pink Sand Cosmetics. She has now been passionately in the beauty business for over ten years! DeAundra shared “I took the steps of faith to prove that you can do anything you put your mind no matter the storm.”
We then asked who or what DeAundra’s biggest inspiration is and she informed us “My biggest inspirations are my parents whom I’ve lost. Honestly, I thought I would’ve lost my mind, but here I am to inspire someone else that there is hope for you.” When we asked what the hardest part about being in business, DeAundra shared “The hardest part about following my dreams would be staying consistent and not giving up when the support isn’t there! Losing my parents built up a strong force and determination like never before. All days won’t be great but always remember if God can bring you to it, he will certainly bring you through it.”
This was beautifully put and we are sure they are proud of all you have accomplished.
Now you know we love to know what a typical day is like for our boss babes, for DeAundra “It consists of building my brand, being creative, networking, research/learning, and touching lives in the midst of my business.” When asked if she had a morning routine, she advised “I start my day with God and prayer, it sets the tone for my day and business”
We think all boss babes have some words of wisdom to share, when we asked DeAundra for the best advise she has ever received, she let us know “Matt 6:33 – Seek first the kingdom of God and all things will be added. A lot of us take on things and exclude God, but we are nothing without him.” We could not agree more with this as it has been made to be true in our everyday life as well, both personal and business related.
Every boss babe has a list of mentors, some we have never met in real life. But they still mentor through their contributions to the world via avenues such as social media, blogs, vlogs, podcasts, etc. DeAundra shared that …
“I Follow Kendra L Conyers. She is a realtor and woman of God. She represents excellence in everything that she does. Her statuses are testimonies that help women like you and me to become a better version of ourselves. Then, my favorite influencer has to be Karla Tobie. She has an amazing confidence, she interacts with, and helps her followers. Karla makes her fans feel like sisters, and I love that!!!”
They sound amazing and we hope our readers go give both ladies a follow too.
When asked how her business was changing the world, DeAundra said “My Business is changing the world one client and one viewer at a time. I aim to always be positive, connect with, and make women feel as confident and as beautiful as they already are. Products don’t change the world, a feeling does.”
